On September 4, 2024, a shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia left four people dead — two teachers and two students — and several others injured. The accused shooter, Colt Gray, was 14 years old at the time.

Prosecutors allege that the father of the shooter, Colin Gray, knowingly provided his son with the rifle used in the attack, despite warning signs related to his son’s mental health and behavior.

⚖️ Charges against Colin Gray stem from him “knowingly allowing his son” to have a weapon, which facilitated the murders:
• Second-degree murder x2
• Involuntary manslaughter x4
• Cruelty to children x8
• Reckless conduct

Colin Gray has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His bond was set at $500,000 with no plea offered.
