For some reason, I was never able to do a fresh install of Windows 98. Therefore, I cheated a bit and installed Windows 98 by upgrading my Windows 95 setup that was done previously. Therefore, the hardware setup will still mostly be the same. The only thing I would recommend though is allocate more RAM for Win98. I set the configuration for 128MB's. Also, because it takes a lot longer to install Windows 98 in comparison to Win95, try to max out the performance of your Win98 setup (in relation to your host CPU). Other than that, it will take a while, but also be relatively uneventful. Minus the RAM and CPU change, the hardware configuration for Win98 is largely the same in comparison to Win95.
