When I was a child grandpa told me, life has two edges,
Just like the word of God a two edged sword.

Granny added; The good, the bad and the ugly,
Those are the words that made life what it is.

And papa will say; its your choice to choose wisely or foolishly.

I became an adult and I fell in love,
Then I discovered what grandpa was trying to interpret for me.

I gave all for love,
My soul became a troubled dove,
For how long will I continue in love's pain?

The scripture has really taught me so well,
Love is patient, love is kind.
Love knows no hate.

But this kind that I am seeing is not even close to the colour of love that I was taught.

Love is reciprocal
When not reciprocated, my dear is that not hatred?

They say the person wearing a shoe knows where it pains,
If only I can pour out my heart, for this tears is like a heavy rain.

What is love if not sacrifice?
I know that's what you want to hear,
But what is sacrifice if there will be no pain?

Then why after sacrificing all, everything looks like child play?
Love is sick, because you made me sick out of love.

Must I be a patient in the hospital?
Just because am waiting patiently for love to crack the code.

Must I be a fool that fell from high altitude?
Just because am sacrificing all with a suicidal note.

What hasn't I done for love?
What hasn't God done for love?

Even you can be hurt and even God can be hurt,
So why is it that It's hard to believe when I say that, I am hurt?
