As a civilian freelance photojournalist, I have had the great privilege of covering a number of air shows and events which have featured both the Snowbirds and the CF-18 Demonstration Team.

Through those projects, I was fortunate to meet and on a number of occasions, work with Capt Jennifer 'Jenn' Casey, whom it was wonderfully easy to get to know and appreciate for her contagious sense of joy, laughter and positivity.

On Sunday, May 17, 2020, Capt Casey lost her life while working in her capacity as the Public Affairs Officer with the Snowbirds.

While Canadians will no longer have the ability to experience her positive energy as part of a live, future event, I wanted to make sure that people could share in the experience by reaching into the past.

To that end, I have pulled two clips forward from a 2018 interview with Capt Casey, when she was describing her role as a PAO, as well as what led her to enroll in the Canadian Armed Forces. Her laughter, her style, her professionalism, her ability to tell a story - it's all tucked into these 90 seconds.
