On February 5, 2026, just after midnight, a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy located a vehicle that had reportedly fled from multiple City of Fond du Lac police officers earlier.
When the deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop at an apartment complex, the suspect accelerated onto a snow-covered lawn and nearly struck a parked vehicle, prompting a pursuit.

During the approximately two-mile pursuit, deputies deployed a tire deflation device at 4th Street and Fond du Lac Avenue. The vehicle eventually stopped at East 1st Street and Park Avenue, where a high-risk traffic stop was conducted.

The driver fled on foot but was quickly apprehended.

The 45-year-old Fond du Lac man was transferred to the City of Fond du Lac Police Department and later booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail on four outstanding warrants and additional charges including:

• Two counts of Fleeing and Eluding
• Disorderly Conduct
• Resisting/Obstructing an Officer

No injuries were reported, and no property damage occurred.
