苗三古道 - 處於吊燈籠與橫嶺之間，接駁上苗田及三椏村的一條古老道路，上坡比例不高，亦設補給點。
兩山之間的最高山坳位置（海拔110左右）於上苗田以西300多米處，此路線樹蔭指數高，岸邊生物多樣化，不難在岸邊找到招潮蟹及赤紅色岩石。

若由烏蛟騰進入
左路(犂三古道)：經犂頭石至三椏村
右路(苗三古道)：經上苗田、下苗田、三椏涌至三椏村

走(苗三古道)為較低的山徑，比起走(犁三古道)為較高的山路 到三椏村，原則上要多走一公里路。但由於犁三古道是依吊燈籠山而建，比苗三那邊高50米。
若雨天後，苗三古道時有水浸，需要涉水，建議選犂三古道。

初段九擔租與上苗田之間較開揚，可以遠眺東北地區的最高峰吊燈籠。

中段會進入上苗田，亦是到了苗三石澗的河谷，經過苗三石澗，馬上是林蔭蔽日，加上流水潺潺，份外清涼，古道石砌的部份雖然有點殘破
，卻另一有種古樸味道。沿路前行約五百米，路旁有數間只剩下牆垣的破屋，這便是下苗田。

尾段是苗三石澗的出海口，便是三椏涌。那裡的地質跟東北海岸一樣是紅褐色的沉積岩，型態古怪，鮮艷奪目。

Miu Sam Ancient Trail is an old path that connects Upper Miu Tin and San Uk Tsai, located between Luk Keng and Wang Leng on the northeast coast of Hong Kong. The uphill sections are not steep, and there are supply points along the trail.

The highest mountain pass between the two mountains (at an altitude of about 110 meters) is located about 300 meters west of Upper Miu Tin. The trail has dense tree cover, and the banks of the stream are home to a diverse range of wildlife, including fiddler crabs and red rocks.

If you enter from Wu Kau Tang, there are two paths: the left path (Lai Sam Ancient Trail) goes through Lai Tau Shek to San Uk Tsai, while the right path (Miu Sam Ancient Trail) goes through Upper Miu Tin, Lower Miu Tin, and San Uk Chung to San Uk Tsai.

The Miu Sam Ancient Trail is a lower mountain path compared to the Lai Sam Ancient Trail, which is a higher mountain road built along the Luk Keng mountain. It is about one kilometer longer to reach San Uk Tsai via the Miu Sam Ancient Trail, but it is recommended to take this route if the Miu Sam Ancient Trail is flooded after rain.

The first section between Kau Tam Tso and Upper Miu Tin offers an open view of the highest peak in the northeast region, Luk Keng.

The middle section enters Upper Miu Tin and reaches the valley of Miu Sam Stream. After passing through Miu Sam Stream, the trail enters a shaded area with flowing water, which provides a refreshing atmosphere. Although some parts of the stone-paved trail are a bit dilapidated, they exude a quaint charm. About 500 meters along the trail, there are a few ruined houses with only walls left, which is Lower Miu Tin.

The final section leads to the estuary of Miu Sam Stream, which is San Uk Chung. The geology there is similar to that of the northeast coast, with reddish-brown sedimentary rocks of peculiar shapes and bright colors.
