Return to the White Horse Railway - Gauge 1 live steam in the garden!

In August 2023 we were able to pay a return visit Peter Spoerer's famous White Horse Railway in his Norfolk Garden. Peter was very welcoming and showed Simon and me how to steam up a couple of his beautiful live steam locomotives. We also got involved with some maintenance and cleaned the wheels of some elegant BR mk1 blood and custard coaches, which dramatically improved their running, and made up a huge rake of coaches for the large locomotive to pull.

We had a wonderful day and it really was a highlight of our holiday. A huge thank you to Peter for entertaining us on his railway for the afternoon.
It doesn't get much better than that!
