On 12 Jun 2023 Yasmeen Lari, was joined by Alisha Morenike Fisher of Migrants Bureau on behalf of Part W for a Royal Gold Medal in conversation event at RIBA Headquarters, London.

Recipient of the 2023 Royal Gold Medal Lari has had a long and illustrious career and has been a revolutionary force in Pakistan. She has had immeasurable influence of the trajectory of the architecture and humanitarian work in the country. From her advocation for low carbon, traditional building materials and methods to her work with displaced and marginalised communities, in this talk Lari discusses her career and the many ways architecture can be used as a tool for bettering life, especially the lives of women.
