According to Philippe, the time – the ZEITGEIST - is right to move fully into the Electric Vehicle (EV) market. Apart from Tesla, there are now more and more car producers such as Ford and Volvo that announced to change their complete fleet to be powered by batteries only in a few years’ time.

The Mia 2.0 is 95% recyclable and has zero C02 emissions. It is 950kg light, has a range of ca 200km, takes about 30 minutes to recharge, and is targeted at the inner-city area only – be it to B2C and also to B2B customers for the "last-mile delivery".

EV sales have shot up almost 140% during 2020 in Europe and the global market share stood at 4.2% of all ‘traditional’ cars that same year. The biggest competitors to the European car market – also in the segment of EVs – are China and the USA. Despite this, many customers still have concerns regarding EV pricing and affordability, range and battery recycling.

Theolia was developed from a €5m to a 1.2bn market capitalization and belonged to the SBF 120 of the Paris Stock Market. He has a comprehensive track record in renewables and sustainability as well as in financing, fundraising, M&A, corporate banking, and capital markets.
