2016 Ford S-Max (240hp) EcoBoost - First DRIVE (60FPS)

Today I can present to you a first Autobahn DRIVE and short acceleration test with the all new 2015 / 2016 Ford S-Max as the range topping Titanium 2.0 EcoBoost delivering 240 hp and 345 Nm of torque through a conventional 6-speed Automatic. Although that many customers in Germany will probably pick the TDCI versions with 180 or 210 hp (Bi-Turbo Diesel) this car really showed me of how far Ford has jumped forward in the market of sporty vans. Also the old S-Max was always my favorite van if I would have been in the market for one and the new one really comes across even more techy and luxurious. The looks, especially of those new Ford LED lights are very modern and the interior stays quiet even at high speeds (I think something that also comes across in the video). Plus, Ford has added a new adaptive cruise control that can now also read the speed signs and automatically adapts the speed as well as a dynamic steering which helps you to keep in the middle of the lane....very helpful to use on an everyday basis.
