Now that Obi-Wan Kenobi has been and gone, you're probably ready to look ahead to all the new Star Wars movies and TV shows on the way. Next year sees the release of Taika Waititi's movie, and there are plenty more coming to our screens besides that. There's Patty Jenkins' Rogue Squadron, the Kevin Feige movie, and a wide selection of shows heading to Disney Plus. Yes, that includes The Mandalorian season 3.

The next Star Wars film is expected on the big screen release slate: Kathleen Kennedy told Total Film in a recent interview that the film is headed for a "late 2023" release, but said "we haven't locked anything in" when asked if that meant December 2023.

"Taika's approach to Star Wars will be fresh, unexpected, and…unique," Kennedy has also said. "His enormous talent and sense of humor will ensure that audiences are in for an unforgettable ride."

"I tend to go down that little sincerity alleyway in my films," Waititi said of the film. "I like to fool the viewer into thinking 'ha it's this' and then them going, 'Damn it, you made me feel something!'"

In a separate interview with Total Film, Waititi hinted that he would be exploring a new side to Star Wars.
