The U-N's rapid reaction force is steadily building up its strength in the former Yugoslavia.

But while it's still preparing for action in Croatia - Serbs continue to drive Muslims out of their enclaves in neighbouring Bosnia.

The roll-on, roll-off ferry from Britain arrived at Ploce, south of Split on the Croatian coast Saturday.

It was bringing thousands of tonnes of equipment and logistical support for the U-N's Rapid Reaction Force which is setting up base in Ploce.

It was the only excitement for these soldiers of the British 24th Air Mobile Unit who arrived Friday.

They arrived ahead of the main force to set help set up the base and their first big task was assisting the unloading of the equipment.

A large range of heavy machinery was driven off including cherry pickers, bulldozers, and cranes.

As the Bosnian situation has worsened, the Rapid Reaction Force soldiers who have been sent to Croatia still have no clear idea of what their mission will be.

A crisis Nato meeting on Sunday in London could decide the future of the force.

But in the meantime the force continues to build up it's military strength with hardware like these 32 attack helicopters from France.
