Nicky B. Doesn't Like When Our Opponents Have Fun in Modern Grixis Control!

If you know anything about me as an MtG player, you know my comfort zone is Blue Black based control decks. A highly interactive and versatile deck is great for giving you a fighting chance in almost any matchup and for compensating for my admittedly middling skills as an MtG player! I'm also a sucker for big, powerful Planeswalker win cons! Grixis is a great color combination to check these boxes! The Dimir base gives you access to the usual plethora of powerful interaction like Thoughtseize, Counterspell and Fatal Push. The Red takes the deck to the next level, letting you put Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger into the mix. With our heavy discard elements, Kroxa should be devastating to our opponents' empty hands and close out games quickly! Bonecrusher Giant is an efficient threat/answer that helps us mitigate the stupid Ring. And, of course, being Grixis gives us access to the Dragon God himself, who hopefully will do more in this league than just activate once and die! The whole gang's here too, as Grixis colors include some of the most powerful 'Walkers ever printed! Can a fairish 1 for 1 control deck actually get some wins in a Modern meta of scams and leylines just through the power of good old fashioned interaction? Finding out will be tons of fun... for us!
