(9 May 2018) The Iranian currency tumbled in the Iraqi exchange markets on Wednesday following a decision by U.S. President Donald Trump to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal.
Currency traders in the northern city of Suleymaniyah, which conducts a lot of trade with Iran and therefore has a lively exchange market, said the rial went from 62,000 to the dollar to 67,000 from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.
Traders said they expect the value of the currency to fluctuate in the coming days.
