In this video, Dr. Groff discusses that Daxxify is the newest FDA-approved variant of botulinum. It works similarly like other types of botulinum toxin drugs, including Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and Jeuveau. Also, Daxxify does not contain any human or animal products, and is instead made from peptides and amino acids.

As an alternative to these other botulinum toxin drugs, I am offering my patients an opportunity to treat facial wrinkles with Daxxify. The benefit of being treated with Daxxify is that it can last 2-3 times longer than Botox, which ultimately means fewer trips to my office.

The clinical trials were done at our practice, so no one has more experience with this drug than us. In the clinical trials, Daxxify has been shown to last in a majority of patients for up to 6 months, with some patients seeing results for up to 9 months.
