I have been part of a very large ecosystem of physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and technicians that have helped grow the ECMO program over the last 15 years at Apollo Maine. We have used this evolving therapy to great success in over 300 patients. We have used it as a bridge to transplantation, but also as a bridge to recovery in a variety of conditions, such as ARDS. We have used it very successfully in the COVID period. where we had over 70 % success in patients treated during the COVID pandemic. We have also used it in poisonings and trauma party patients over the years. In patients who have had cardiac and respiratory arrest, what is called CPR or ECMO assisted CPR or ECPR, our outcomes have been about 33 % success, where across the world you can expect around 28%. And in this endeavor, we have also had calls from hospitals around the state of Tamil Nadu. And on occasion, uh even in other states, where our team has helped both initiate ECMO remotely, as well as help the team there to look after these patients or transfer them here in case they require transplantation. This has been one of the most satisfying aspects of my professional career, to see patients who would otherwise have almost zero chance of survival to get home to a normal life. And I think that this has been one of the great successes of Apollo Main Hospital.
