When the owners of Africa Transport Solutions (ATS) were given the chance to test drive the new Volvo Torque Assist, they didn’t think twice. The South African hauliers are constantly looking for ways to improve fuel consumption, as they often transport heavy loads on hilly terrain with large variations in speed. The benefits were plain to see: ATS saw fuel costs drop by 11%.
