Eastvale -- Residential (WM)

Описание к видео Eastvale -- Residential (WM)

The Eastvale team consists of 8 regular drivers collecting throughout the quickly growing city, with 4 collecting trash, 2 collecting greens, and 2 collecting recycling. A couple recent trips in July to see what Waste Management was using nowadays brought us an almost completely different set of garbage trucks than our previous visits out here.

(0:00) - 263529: Our most recent trip to Eastvale on July 28 had us following one of our favorite drivers quickly finishing a decent sized route area. Jaime was in the usual 263529 and I couldn’t be more impressed with the speed of the truck. He seems to go faster and faster every time we see him and I’m fairly confident that he is one of the fastest Curotto Can drivers out there. Also, this was the EXACT same route area we found Jaime in the very first time we met him last year.

(4:18) - 104494: Here’s one of Corona’s newer ASLs finishing up on route. I don’t believe this is a regular truck luckily, but it was pretty fast. Normally, there are only two "Think Green, Think Clean" garbage trucks working in the city which is pretty nice.

On July 8th, we were going around Chino earlier in the day looking for their spare truck when some drivers told us he was dumping at the Pomona Transfer Station. Not wanting to waste anytime just sitting around, we headed to Eastvale - just a short 5 minutes down the street from the Chino route area. We found Jaime finishing up pretty quickly and ended up having lunch with him, where we got some great route info on the trucks working. He went to dump afterwards, and we went back to Chino for a short time before returning to Eastvale to begin hunting.

(4:54) - 263847: We stumbled upon Roberto in this awesome former "Recycle Long Beach" Mack LE/Wittke subbing for Sal. Kevin and I were really hoping to see this truck, but being a spare unit, we really weren't planning on finding it anytime soon. We saw pictures of this truck on Flickr from Moises and thought that it had an old Moreno Valley Curotto Can on it, so being able to confirm that was really cool. We both have some really good memories of MoVal and their fast Curotto Cans (especially Kevin from his childhood), and so we always enjoy seeing their old Curotto Cans being used elsewhere. Oh yeah, and just to show how lucky we got, Roberto was originally out in Salvador's usual truck 264494, but midday, he broke down and had to take this truck out to finish up the route.

(5:17): 103385: Here's one of multiple appearances of Edward in 103385 collecting the green waste opposite of Roberto. I used to have some of these 2009 Autocar Amreps in my yard, but it's been a while since I've seen them in action.

(8:40) - 102831: Some of you may know this driver from Instagram, Frankie Magana. He had some really cool pictures of the trucks out in Eastvale and so the day before we went out here, Frankie told me what truck he was going to be in. Lucky for me, we stumbled upon him accidentally while following Roberto. Once we finished filming Roberto, we came back to get some video of Frankie finishing up, shown at (11:10). One awesome guy with a really cool truck. I love how the arm on this one is still green and it is much faster than the other Python that used to run here. This truck originated from Moreno Valley before being passed around SoCal, going from El Cajon to Baldwin Park to Chino and finally to Corona. No one really wanted this truck but apparently Corona was desperate for trucks when they took in the two Pythons.

(13:06) - 263850: We end the video with one of the coolest trucks I have ever filmed. We met up with Jaime earlier in the day and saw that he was in this truck instead of his usual 263529! We were shocked at the yellow Curotto Can since Corona had only green ones for the longest time. We found Jaime again later in the day quickly going through the large amount of route he had left. Just like his usual truck, Jaime runs this truck like a champ. I honestly don't think there are many Curotto drivers faster than him and it was great to see him in this spare truck. This is another old "Recycle Long Beach" Wittke that was used as a commercial FL out here in Corona for a while, so when I saw that it had a Curotto, I was really surprised. It's great to see that Corona actually uses some units as commercial or residential depending on what's needed for the day. I was hoping to film more but this is all I got after at least 30 minutes of following him.

Thanks to all the awesome drivers here at Waste Management of the Inland Empire for letting us film and all the route information too!
