About This Story : Several parts of India have been ravaged by what seems to be a never-ending monsoon spell and one of the worst hit has been the state of Punjab. With over 20 dead, 3 lakh affected, 2:3 lakh hectares of crop submerged, and almost 16000 people evacuated. But in every crisis there is always a story of hope, of compassion, of strength. This is the story of Amritsar's Deputy Commissioner - Sakshi Sawhney. Whether it is wading through water to tend to those displaced, to give them food and supplies, or it is to be the shoulder to cry on when someone has lost their entire life's savings in the floods, or even administering the hi-tech drone supported rescue ops. This is a story of a woman leading from the forefront, saving hundreds of people.
