केंद्रीय पंचायती राज मंत्री राजीव रंजन उर्फ ​​ललन सिंह ने अनुच्छेद 356 का दुरुपयोग करने और सत्ता में बने रहने के लिए राज्य सरकारों को गिराने के लिए कांग्रेस की पिछली सरकारों की निंदा की. लोकसभा में उन्होंने कहा, “ये लोग संविधान की बात कर रहे हैं. लेकिन सत्ता में बने रहने के लिए उन्होंने 1975 में आधी रात को इमरजेंसी लगा दी. सभी विपक्षी नेताओं को MISA के तहत जेल में डाल दिया गया, कोर्ट और मीडिया पर बैन लगा दिया गया. लोगों को उनके मौलिक अधिकारों से वंचित किया गया और ये लोग आरक्षण के लिए लड़ रहे हैं.” उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि आरक्षण की रक्षा पीएम मोदी करेंगे.

Union Panchayati Raj Minister Rajiv Ranjan aka Lallan Singh slammed previous Congress governments for misusing Article 356 and toppling state governments to remain in power. In the Lok Sabha, he said, "These people are talking about the Constitution. But to remain in power, they imposed Emergency at midnight in 1975. All opposition leaders were jailed under MISA, courts and media were banned. People were deprived of their fundamental rights and these people are fighting for reservation." He also said that PM Modi will protect the reservation.
