University of Mysore Professor’s Candid Views on Education

In our MYpodCASt series powered by MYCAS College - The Tea That Matters, the college Director Operations, Mr. Ramacharan G is in conversation with University of Mysore’s Planning, Evaluation and Monitoring Board Director Dr. N. Nagaraja.

Prof. N Nagaraja is a seasoned academician with three decades of teaching experience. He has the experience of teaching commerce students both in India and aboard.

In this episode, the guest recalls his school days and pays tribute to all his teachers and educational institutions who according to him have transformed and moulded him.

In the later part, light is shed on topics ranging from depleting teachers’ and students’ quality to responsibility that each one should take up to improve the system.

At a later point parallels are drawn between Indian students and foreign students.

During the further course of the conversation the professor highlights the need and importance of reading and extensive preparation before the sessions by teachers. And, Students advised to read reference books mentioned in the syllabus and also a list of books are suggested to study.

In the closing remarks, few valuable advices are given to the both teachers and students.
