Sublimation Printing on Slate Clock with Bumblebee from Transformers

This week we sublimated a slate clock with Bumblebee from Transformers. Do you know about Sublimation Printing?! We are relatively new to this printing medium. But, boy is it great! We have made so many gift products using this technique. In this week’s video, we purchased a blank slate clock prepped for sublimation as a birthday gift. However….. it didn’t arrive in the mail until 1hr before we were to leave for the birthday dinner. This week’s video is a beat the clock/make the clock sublimation showdown!

Our friend was turning 40 something and he is a huge fan of Transformers. He has a room full of Transformers toys, decor and art. So, we wanted to get him something unique to add to his Transformers collection. We found this sublimation slate clock on Amazon and thought we could do something cool for him.

We printed our image using our Epson Artisan 1430 printer which we purchased from eBay and converted to use the sublimation ink system (it was super easy to do) and used our heat press to transfer the image to the slate. And Voila! Gift was ready! You can purchase tons of great sublimation ready items from Amazon. For Christmas, we made custom mugs, cosmetic pouches, t-shirts and totes! Really you can print on anything that’s more than 50% Polyester. If you have a business or love to make t-shirts, this is something you should definitely consider giving a try, we think it’s great!
