Test cricket. These two words. These two simple words create such great images.

Players wearing whites, standing the whole day, their trousers have red stains because of rubbing the ball in the hope of getting some movement, batsmen are soaked in sweat, they have been batting for hours, there are still days to go, 15 sessions in 5 days, you may be dominating in majority of those, but can still lose the match because of one bad session. A whole life plays out in those 5 dreadful days.

We are discussing this madness today. And whether this madness. This slow poison has seen best of its days. Will it survive in a fast paced world. Is nostalgia enough to keep fuelling it, and is it really being fuelled.
