Repairing an old Stihl Brush Cutter that wouldn’t Start

Описание к видео Repairing an old Stihl Brush Cutter that wouldn’t Start

This old weed whacker won’t start.
The Stihl FS66 came on the market in 1984, and stayed there until 1993. Although it is significantly less powered than today’s models, it beats them all in reliability. This unit belongs to my mother in law, and I was surprised when she asked to borrow my FS111. As it turned out, she said her FS66 was very hard to start. I started by changing out the old gasoline to some Aspen2 pre-mixed 50:1 gasoline. That alone made it easier to start, but I also cleaned the air filter, spark plug, and spark arrestor. I also have the entire engine a bath in degreaser and brakleen. After that, it fired up on the first pull.
