Exploring Delhi Gate: The Heart of Lahore's Walled City

As an architect and photographer, I've always been captivated by our heritage. I believe that with the right approach, our beautiful land could become a tourism haven. When I learned about the conservation efforts at Delhi Gate, I felt immense joy and excitement. I’ve visited many times, but this time I aimed to create a quick reel showcasing the architectural facades, with a particular focus on Mosque Wazir Khan, as I’m currently working on its documentary.

Masjid Wazir Khan is an architectural marvel, featuring handmade frescoes that are centuries old—truly fascinating. I’m thrilled to see the Agha Khan Foundation's efforts in its preservation and can’t wait to witness the results.

I applaud the Walled City Authority of Lahore for their professional conservation of the area. The clean bazaar, free from encroachments, creates a tourist-friendly environment. I hope to see similar initiatives for other historic gates in Lahore soon.
