After trying different techniques I’ve finally found one that I prefer. Bottles were purchased on Amazon they are called Amber Glass Bottles.
I always use fresh bleach and wash bottles if they’ve sat for any length of time. I was shirts as soon as the bleach dries all together in warm water and very little detergent to get the bleach smell out.
