Good hydration! -Spotting the signs of dehydration - Part Two

Описание к видео Good hydration! -Spotting the signs of dehydration - Part Two

This is the second in a series of six short animated films about the importance of good hydration in keeping care home residents happy and healthy. The award-winning Good Hydration! structured drinks round initiative is helping reduce cases of urinary tract infection and ensuring that older people need fewer antibiotics and less time in hospital.

The key messages in this video are:
• Dehydration happens when we don’t have enough water in our body
• Older people are more likely to get dehydrated
• Small fluid loss can have big consequences
• Tiredness, confusion, constipation and unsteadiness may indicate someone is becoming dehydrated
• Get to know the people you’re caring for and look for the signs of dehydration
