History of S&S-

Samskara and Samsara was never planned.
They as a family came from different-different backgrounds -
real estate, cinematography, fashion & literature.
The land was bought in small-small chunks by Mr. Ajay Satija, a realtor and the owner of Samskara & Samsara, between 2010 to 2014. The initial plan was to make and sell
villas but whenever they came here, they felt a divine presence that they got strongly connected to. They would come here to reflect and rest and always left with a little more
acceptance and gratitude than when they arrived.
So, fast forward to October 2015, they hosted their first guest, Mr. Vijay Kumar Sharma, when the establishment was formless & rudimentary. By degrees & constant nurture, a
small community came into existence and now we share it with our fellow seekers.

Lansdowne, originally known as "kaludanda" meaning black hills, unfolds a very majestic
and peaceful rhythm and is sequestered in the lap of Uttarakhand. It's history dates back
to India's struggle for independence where Lansdowne served as a battalion for our
soldiers.
