As we turn our 6 acres of abandoned land in rural Ireland into an off grid homestead we keep running into challenges. This week we’re solving a problem that keeps stalling us: food storage. We’re desperate not to waste the food we’ve put so much effort into growing and raising. So this week we’re battling the Irish summer weather as we find a way to install a full size fridge and freezer so our harvest doesn’t go to waste! And true to form, our solution is… kind of quirky ;)
