Car Camping at Brazos Bend State Park, TX, USA

Enjoy car camping at Brazos Bend State Park, Texas, USA. This type of camping is very simple; it does not cost much; it is comfortable; and rugged hikes are not required.

You will be amazed what you will see and hear. This park is known for alligators. They are a vital part of wetland habitats throughout southeastern United States and are considered a "keystone species."

Yoga workshops are also offered at no cost to park visitors. I participated in one of these workshops, the evening of the Super Blue Blood Moon.

SUPER BLUE BLOOD MOON:
It was exciting to witness a rare cosmic event that was last visible in 152 years ago in the western hemisphere. The Super Blue Blood Moon is a combination of a "Super Moon" which is brighter than usual due to the moon's elliptical orbit, a "Blue Moon" which is the second full moon in a calendar month, and a "Blood Moon" which happens when there is a lunar eclipse caused by the earth's shadow -- turning the moon red.
