The Chairman of GIU Board of Trustees, Former German Ambassador to Egypt, Mr. Julius Georg Luy, welcomed the new students joining the GIU this year and their parents. In his opening remarks, Luy said that establishing the GIU at the New Administrative Capital reflects the entire endeavors that he personally followed while being the German Ambassador to Egypt 2015 - 2019.

The Co-Chairman expressed his confidence of stability provided through the integration between the GUC, which he described as Germany’s biggest and most 🇩🇪 successful project of transnational education, and together with GIU will present the two main pillars of German higher education in Egypt. “We are proud of the German higher education, which forms personalities and allows students to meet the aspirations and ambitions of the young generation.

This type of education prepares them to qualify for global competition in order to obtain jobs locally and internationally, the Chairman said. Luy also noted that the GIU is integrating many subjects, majors, and new ideas to deliver world-class university education and to bring closely in its campus all possibilities of technologies and new ideas in its offered faculties to equip graduates for the job prospective whether coming up or valid in the present time.
