Sant Namdev | Dance Drama by Bal Vikas from Maharashtra and Goa | Ashadi Ekadashi 2003 | HD Enhanced

Ashadi Ekadashi marks the end of the long Pandharpur Ashadi Ekadashi Waari Yatra, in which hoards of pilgrims trek to the Vitthal temple in Pandharpur. As such, devotees from Maharashtra and Goa lead the celebrations of the festival at Prasanthi Nilayam each year in Bhagawan's presence. In 2003, the Bal Vikas students of Maharashtra and Goa performed a drama on the evening of Ashadi, entitled "Sant Namdev." The beautiful drama told the story of the Varkari saint Namdev, including his interactions with Lord Vitthala, Sant Gyaneshwar, and the composition of his many abhangs. It was presented in front of Bhagawan in the Poornachandra Auditorium.
