Although not typically thought of as major naval powers, Prussia, Germany, and Austria-Hungary all fielded navies that, during the age of Colonialism, travelled all around the world. Their ships were often of similar power as other major powers, just in smaller quantity. Therefore, where there are sailors, there are songs! This is a German Sea Shanty.

One of the more dangerous things on the open ocean, other than storms and too-heavy winds, is the opposite: No Wind. This happens often in a region of the ocean referred to as the Doldrums. These regions are usually in the hot equator where ships could be stranded for days or weeks. Lyrics Below:
