In a scene reminiscent of a demonstration against mps two years ago activists abandoned five donkeys in Nairobi’s central business district to protest against corruption and other ills afflicting the country. The use of donkeys which had various messages splashed on their backs marks an emerging trend where activists are using animals to spread protest messages. Wilkister Nyabwa now reports on a matter that has raised ethical issues with animal rights activists saying it amounts to abuse.
