Amie Gross, AIA, is president of Amie Gross Architects, which she founded in 1984. The firm is based on the premise that high-quality design can be provided to people of all incomes and needs. AGA is committed to using architecture to address social issues and has developed an extensive portfolio of work that serves the public, including housing and community and educational facilities. The clients of AGA are not-for-profit organizations, institutions, and corporations, including The Fifth Avenue Committee, The Jewish Daily Forward, Omni New York, Met Council, and the New York State Office of Mental Health. The firm has received the Award of Excellence from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, and its work has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times, Crain's, Interior Design, and Green Building.. Ms. Gross is a board member of the Citizens Housing and Planning Council and actively participated in its initiative Making Room, which resulted in the current exhibition at the Museum of the City of New York featuring the Micro Unit by AGA.
