From Saturday 22 June until Thursday 27 June 2019, Minerva Art Academy (Hanze UAS) presents the work of graduating students of the bachelor programmes Fine Art, Design and Fine Art and Design in Education, and the master programme of the Frank Mohr Institute. We sent Minerva alumnus Kevin Rooi to the show to guide us through the exhibition!

(Un)Formed
In the characteristic building of the Former Sugar Factory, Minerva Art Academy will show 160 graduating students of our bachelor and master programmes. Having started at the academy as curious and inquisitive students they developed in the last years into artists, designers and teachers. Their strength can be seen in this graduation show, called (Un) Formed. The graduate students are at a crossroads and are formed and unformed at the same time. Formed by their education, but still open to all possibilities in the future. Master's students have become increasingly focused during their studies and are investigating their own artistic practice. The process of bachelor students, on the other hand, is characterized by exploration and experiences. The result is an exhibition in which disciplines merge and the boundaries of what we think is normal are explored. Making is always the starting point.
