India and New Zealand concluded a comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (FTA) on 21 December 2025, marking India’s third FTA of the financial year and a major boost to its proactive trade diplomacy. Finalised in just nine months, the deal grants duty-free access to 100% of India’s exports to New Zealand and significant tariff cuts for New Zealand goods in India, while opening wide opportunities in services, investment, and MSMEs. Beyond economics, the FTA strengthens India–New Zealand strategic ties in the Indo-Pacific, reduces dependence on China-centric supply chains, and signals India’s return to high-standard trade agreements after RCEP.

২১ ডিসেম্বর ২০২৫ তারিখে ভারত ও নিউজিল্যান্ড একটি বিস্তৃত মুক্ত বাণিজ্য চুক্তি (FTA) সম্পন্ন করে, যা চলতি অর্থবর্ষে ভারতের তৃতীয় এফটিএ এবং সক্রিয় বাণিজ্য কূটনীতির বড় সাফল্য। মাত্র নয় মাসে চূড়ান্ত হওয়া এই চুক্তিতে ভারতের ১০০% রপ্তানি নিউজিল্যান্ডে শুল্কমুক্ত প্রবেশাধিকার পাবে এবং পরিষেবা, বিনিয়োগ ও এমএসএমই খাতে নতুন সুযোগ সৃষ্টি হবে। অর্থনৈতিক লাভের পাশাপাশি, এই এফটিএ ইন্দো-প্যাসিফিকে ভারত–নিউজিল্যান্ড কৌশলগত সম্পর্ক মজবুত করে, চীনকেন্দ্রিক নির্ভরতা কমাতে সহায়তা করে এবং RCEP–এর পর ভারতের উচ্চমানের বাণিজ্য চুক্তিতে প্রত্যাবর্তনের বার্তা দেয়।
