Cebola Cortida | Pickled Onions - Portuguese Recipe

Ingredients
10kg bag of small onions
Garlic Cloves (optional)
Chili Peppers (optional)
Salt
White Vinegar
Cold Water
Red Wine

This recipe make 5 to 6 (1 litre mason Jars) of pickled onions

Ingredients I used for each 1 litre Jar of Pickled Onions

Filled jar with onions ( you can cut them in half if you can’t fit the last 1 in the jar)

1 garlic clove
1 chili pepper
1 teaspoon of salt
3 parts vinegar
1 part cold water
2 to 3 tablespoons of red wine

Tips:
Once the jar is sealed, flip the jar a few times to mix the vinegar, water, wine and salt)

The pickled onions will be ready to eat in 4 to 5 days

Sterilize the jars by placing in boiling water for 10 minutes

Cebola Cortada
Ingredientes
Saco de 10kg de cebola pequena
Dentes de alho (opcional)
Pimenta malagueta (opcional)
Sal
Vinagre Branco
Água Fria
Vinho tinto

Esta receita faz de 5 a 6 (frascos de vidro de 1 litro) de cebolas cortidas

Ingredientes que usei para cada frasco de 1 litro de cebola em cortida

Frasco cheio de cebola (você pode cortá-las ao meio se não conseguir colocar a última no frasco)

*1 dente de alho
1 pimenta malagueta
1 colher de chá de sal
3 partes de vinagre
1 parte de água fria
2 a 3 colheres de sopa de vinho tinto our vinho de cheiro

Pontas:
Assim que a jarra estiver selada, vire-a algumas vezes para misturar o vinagre, a água, o vinho e o sal)

As cebolas cortidas estarão prontas para comer em 4 a 5 dias

Esterilize os jarros colocando-os em água fervente por 10 minutos
