Former CIA Middle East Official Norman Roule discusses how the loss of Hezbollah's communications equipment will affect their ability to organise attacks.

Reports of exploding walkie-talkies owned by members of Hezbollah have arsine from Lebanon, killing at least 20 and injuring hundreds more.

These explosions follow Wednesday's attack, which caused hundreds of pagers to detonate, killing at least another 14 and injuring thousands.

"What we have, however, is a sophisticated supply chain interdiction, and it should remind all of us that any external chain for sensitive technology is going to be susceptible to manipulation," Mr Roule to Sky News Australia.'

"In the near-term, Hezbollah has a dramatic challenge, and this reduces their operational capacity and threat."
