When your a hunter you often cross paths with people who mention their aunty or uncle, or brother in law have a farm or property. They always seem to be about 6-10 hrs away just far enough your not sure if its worth the drive to check out with your limited weekends and the person who told you is always a non hunter. While parked in Sydney after two weeks at work and all my gear stilla t my sisters house after my time in NZ. I decided to follow up one of these leads, mainly due to there being an abandoned gold lease on the property and wanting to go for a snipe (snorkelling for gold). On my first walk to checking out the property in a torrential rain storm I saw multiple red deer. The next day lead into one of the best days hunting of my life, i saw over 40 deer, had stags calling out to me across the valley and got in a position with two stags within 12m!
