Popular items of this restaurant are Masala Dosa, Idli Vada, Avalakki Mosaru and paddu, This is one of the heritage hotel in shimoga which is worth a note in tripadvisor. we people of shimoga would be proud to have visitors enjoy the delicacy of this hotel.


First of all I would like to mention “Meenakshi Bhavan - Masale Dosa.” It is the best if you ask me. You can also try “Appam or Paddu” from the same hotel. The tamarind chutney is amazing!

Then you can pay a visit to the “Kachori stand” located inside the flower and vegetables market. I had it only once in my life……but not even a single day goes by without me remembering the spicy Kachori...!!

The food served in big restaurants (eg. Royal Orchid, Clark's Inn, Anmol…..etc) is also top notch.

You can also say hi to “Dosa Camp” in Shivamurthy circle near the Nehru stadium. The variety is fabulous.

And if you are a sweet tooth... Don't forget to pay a visit to “Venkateshwara sweet house”(go Google it..!)

But my advice to you is that if you are planning to visit Shivamogga, don't come here for the food! Come to visit the Jog falls, The lion and tiger sanctuary, Kavishaila, etc….. The things which you see in the news for being famous....

According to me there is no signature dish belonging to Shivamogga. But still my town is best at which it does best. Looks like you will have to come here to find out what my town is best at……. ;)

It is the best hotel in Shivamogga which is serving its customers since decades.

You can also try for court circle panipuri if you roam around Shivamogga at evening time.
