hey guys what's up it's me Jp, ya boy made another track. and this time it's a remix of my own song, it's the mario & luigi mix babyyyy

honestly is there anyone else out there that has made a song specifically like this? Not a fansong for their favorite franchise, but rather, taking THEIR OWN PREMADE SONG and purposefully rearranging it (at least loosely) in the style of the franchise they like? it really makes me reflect on how i approach my work, which is separating my fandom from my work. i mean im definitely a hobbyist and im definitely a fan of these things, but somehow i don't reflect that in my work. i wanna be my own man. even if i make a ton of remixes with noticeable patterns (cough deltarune cough) i don't want that to be my identity, or something to use as a crutch. i dont want it to be the toby fox channel or the nintendo channel, it's the Jp channel. i dunno if im even portraying myself exactly the way i want to but yeah

anyway, i wanted to make this in anticipation of the upcoming release of Mario & Luigi: Brothership! I'm really happy that the Mario RPGs are making a comeback y'all, especially Mario & Luigi of all things with a new game! This arrangement is mostly based on the latest Mario & Luigi games, even trying to get some influence from the music in the Brothership trailer haha
