One-touch programming on Baofeng radios typically refers to a quick and simplified way of saving and recalling frequencies using the VFO/MR (Frequency Mode/Memory Mode) and the keypad. While true “one-touch” programming is limited on Baofengs, you can quickly save and recall channels with minimal steps.

Steps to Quickly Program a Frequency into Memory (One-Touch Style)
This method works on models like Baofeng UV-5R, BF-F8HP, UV-82, etc.

1. Enter Frequency Mode (VFO Mode)

Press the VFO/MR button to enter VFO mode (if not already in it).
Use the keypad to enter the frequency you want to save (e.g., 146.520 MHz).
2. Save the Frequency to a Channel

Press MENU
Enter 27 (or scroll to "MEM-CH" for memory channel storage).
Press MENU again (the channel number blinks).
Use the up/down arrows or type a number (e.g., 001) for the memory slot.
Press MENU to confirm.
Press EXIT to finish.
3. Recall the Saved Channel (One-Touch Recall)

Press VFO/MR to switch to Memory (MR) Mode.
