Insight Shechter/Montero | Staatstheater Nürnberg

By inviting top-class guests, ballet director Goyo Montero always succeeds in showing choreographic works in Nuremberg that are currently shaping the dance scene. The double bill "Shechter/Montero" adds further remarkable pieces to the wide-ranging repertoire: Goyo Montero shows his powerful creation "Anthem", commissioned in 2018 by the renowned São Paulo Companhia de Dança. With the version of the piece "tHE bAD", tailor-made for the Nuremberg ensemble, we experience for the second time one of Hofesh Shechter's mesmerising choreographies, currently one of the most sought-after protagonists of the contemporary dance scene.

Videographers Stefan Kleeberger and Stefan Gröschner accompanied choreographer and ballet director Goyo Montero, guest choreographer Hofesh Shechter and the ensemble of Nuremberg Ballet during rehearsals and behind the scenes.
