Adam is on a 20-year personal journey to find the lost creek gold, and will not quit until he finds it. He’s a BC-certified Outdoor Survival Expert and teaches around the province.

Adam believes that the key to finding Slumach’s gold is to follow those who have gone before him, many of whom have died or gone missing. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of the background of the lost gold - as well as of the challenging terrain in the Pitt Lake area.

Despite what he describes as a ‘healthy obsession’ with the legend, this hunt isn’t about getting rich. Adam has a deep respect for the land, and for the people who have lived there for time immemorial. His work with First Nations kids as an outdoor education teacher, his status as a second son in Taylor’s family, and his thirst to grow his cultural understanding, make Adam a unique combination of experience, determination, deference, muscles, and mindfulness.
