Didn't even get to finish all of the Big Dub content before diving head first into NYC on a Thursday for Excision at the newly renovated Brooklyn Mirage, one of the many venues within Avant Gardner. When we saw the Friday lineup and how expensive tickets were, we were not sure if we would be going. The lineup didn't amaze me for the price and it just seemed like it was going to be packed with Brads and Chads, especially in Brooklyn on a Friday night. But when we saw the Thursday show added, we knew that was the one for us. The homies Vastive and Layz opening plus Kompany and Sullivan King. And with it being on a Thursday and added after Friday tickets went on sale, we knew this should would be a less crowded and more fun show

Now let me just tell you that this venue was made for Excision. Giant LED screen that curves around the whole stage, lasers for days, and lots of room on the dance floor. I also feel the outside aspect makes this venue incredibly unique...for a second it almost feels like you're in a festival crowd!
As far as the set itself, I thought it was more detoxy than I expected. Definitely a heavy set overall, but lots more of detox sections than I was expecting. Curious to know if he went any harder for night 2. Let me know in the comments if you attended night 2!
