Street preacher Gabriel Olivier is challenging an ordinance in Brandon, Mississippi, that restricts free speech at a city concert venue. He was arrested for sharing the gospel outside a designated protest zone at the amphitheater. Although he was not protesting, he argues that the ordinance should be repealed because it violates the free speech rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. The case is currently before the U.S. Supreme Court, which will review lower court rulings stating that he lacks standing to sue because he did not serve time for violating the ordinance.
