Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll Is More Than 312,200
Over 312,200 people have died of the novel coronavirus in Iran, according to reports tallied by the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran as of Tuesday. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 82,351, around a fourth of the actual figure.
“In Tehran there is a black market to purchase Pfizer vaccines with prices ranging from $1,037 to $2,489. The vaccines are smuggled into the country. This market is flourishing while vaccination across Iran has come to a halt; there is a severe shortage in vaccine doses and many who need their second dose have been left to wait,” according to a Tuesday piece published in the state-run Hamshahri daily. “The entire process of finding a customer is carried out very carefully and only through trusted individuals… The vaccine is applied by trained individuals and at the site the customer is provided a vaccine card with a stamp of the Iraqi Kurdistan Health Ministry,” the article adds.

Iran's Regime Condemns Four Men to Flogging
The Iranian regime's Judiciary sentenced four people to flogging in Tehran for economic crimes, in addition to other punishments. These individuals are charged with “participation in disrupting the economic system.” All four were sentenced to lashes, confiscation of their belongings and prison. The Iranian regime is one of the few states that still uses degrading punishments, even though all international civil and political rights conventions have prohibited the use of inhumane punishments such as execution and flogging.
