A Strong and Loving God

God built us a house on a rock strong and sure,
A place for our hearts that will always endure.
His words are our light when the way feels unclear,
He’s said all we need—He is always right here.

“Don’t be afraid, little one, I’m close by your side.
I’m strong, I’m your helper, your comfort, your guide.
I’ll hold you up high with My powerful hand,
You’ll never fall down while with Me you stand.”

When waters feel deep and the tears start to flow,
God walks right beside you wherever you go.
The waves won’t go over, the storms won’t prevail,
His love is the anchor that never will fail.

When fires feel hot and the road feels so tough,
God’s grace is right there—it is always enough.
The flames will not harm you, He lovingly knows
How trials make hearts shine like bright, polished gold.

As years pass along and hair turns to gray,
God’s love does not fade, it does not slip away.
Like lambs held so close in a shepherd’s warm care,
We’re safe in His arms, forever held there.

So trust Him, dear child, and rest without fear,
For Jesus has promised He’s always near.
