The foundation of any smart home is a strong Wifi connection. After all, it doesn’t matter how many awesome IoT devices you have if your Internet is slow. Part of being smart means being fast, which is why I’m excited to try out Google Nest’s latest Wifi solution.

The company claims that #NestWifi, which consists of a router and a point, has twice the speed of Google Wifi and up to 25% better coverage. That’s impressive, as I was already smitten with Google Wifi’s speed and coverage. But the Nest Wifi takes it a step further, with Google Assistant and a speaker built into it’s points. Basically, when you put a Nest Wifi point in a room, you’re essentially adding a Nest Mini, plus Wifi coverage. However, like most Nest products, Nest Wifi isn’t cheap at $269 for a router and point. Is it worth your hard-earned cash?
